Students of MES Fathima Raheem Central School, Kaithapoyil, have donated ₹1,44,444 to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) to support the rehabilitation and reconstruction of families affected by natural calamities in the Mundakai and Chooralmala regions of Wayanad district.
At a simple function held at the Wayanad Collectorate Hall, the amount was handed over to District Collector Dr. Meghashree, I.A.S. by a delegation consisting of MES School Manager K.M.D. Muhammed, Principal Joseph Pulimoottil, Vice Chairman R.K. Moitheen Koya Haji, Treasurer A.C. Abdul Azeez, PTA President Moitheen P.A., PTA Vice President Hasna Saleem, and PTA members Shamsiya Jafar and P.K. Muhammadali.
The school authorities stated that this contribution was raised as a gesture of solidarity with the disaster-affected people of Wayanad, and that students, parents, teachers, and the management would continue to extend their cooperation towards the community’s rehabilitation efforts.
The Collector remarked that the true value of education lies not only in academic learning but also in understanding the pain of others and acting with compassion and a spirit of service. She added that such initiatives help to nurture social responsibility and empathy among students.
